5 Ways to Conquer a Case of the Mondays
For many of us, Monday mornings can bring on the blues as we wave goodbye to the weekend. Even if you love your job, it can be hard to jump back to work after having two days off. Next time you have a case of the Mondays, here are 5 tips to get you through the week!
Sundays Can Save Mondays.
The best way to start Monday off on a positive note is to prep the night before! Next Sunday, try to get your grocery shopping done and pack your Monday lunch. If you plan on working out, pack your gym bag and have your work outfit ready the night before.
Exercise.
People who exercise in the morning tend to have a better work-life balance. Working out in the morning will give you extra energy for the day, reduce stress levels, and clear your mind so that you’re focused.
Have a Good Breakfast.
The last thing you should do is skip your first breakfast of the week! Mondays already make people angry and so does being hungry! Start your Monday off with a hearty breakfast to get your week going with the best possible start.
Plan Your Week.
When you start planning out your week, make a list of goals. Plan to finish projects on Thursdays and Fridays so that you don’t end up using Mondays as your catch up day. The last thing you want is to spend your weekend dreading Monday because you didn’t complete your projects the week before! Also, if you can avoid it, try to save meetings for Tuesdays so that you can dedicate your Mondays to being productive and checking things off your list.
Be Positive.
The Monday blues is all mental; deflect everyone else’s with a get-it-done attitude! Consider making a monday playlist and listening to upbeat music while you are getting ready for the day. Happiness can be contagious, so remember to smile!
