How to Add Your ed2go Courses to Your Resume
Creating a resume and not sure where to start? If you do not have enough relevant work experience to showcase, no need to worry! Incorporating your ed2go coursework to your resume can help enhance your background and draw attention to your newly acquired skills. Here are just a few steps you can take to impress your hiring manager:
1. Placement
Always list your education information as a separate section on your resume. The best order of placement depends on what you are trying to emphasize. Typically, it is recommended to place your work experience before your education. If you are changing careers or have continued your education to support your new goals, however, then education should come first. Also, if you are a recent graduate or have less than five years of work experience, then outlining your most recent educational background at the top of your resume will appear more up-to-date and consistent with your overall timeline.

2. Coursework
Keep things tidy! Under your education headline, write the name of the school you attended and location, followed by the certificate or degree earned and the year of completion. If you did not receive a certificate or degree, you can accentuate your strengths by mentioning completed coursework with the title, “Relevant Coursework,” followed by the year of completion. Be sure to only highlight specific courses that apply to the job.
Example 1:
Palomar College, San Marcos
Relevant Coursework: Web Developer with Emphasis in Windows
2013-2014
Example 2:
ed2go
Relevant Coursework: Employment Law Fundamentals with Emphasis on Management
2013-2014
3. Career Training Certificates
You’ve worked hard for them, so show them off! Including certificates will show your prospective employer that you possess relevant knowledge in the field for which you are applying. If you have taken any of our Career Training Courses, you can highlight these accomplishments below your basic school information with the title, “Professional Development Highlights.”
Example:
Professional Development Highlights:
- Certified Global Business Professional
- Certified Wedding Planner
- Certified Bookkeeper
- Digital Analytics and Conversion Professional with OMCP Certification
- Certified for Microsoft Excel 2010
Lastly, if you are currently enrolled in a career training program, remember your career services team is always available for resume guidance!
Best of luck!
