Kristina is Well on Her Way to Becoming a Pharmacy Technician
After a tragic shift in her life, Kristina G. decided to take hold of her future. Here, she shares her account of finding her passion and pursuing her future career:
My story begins with the passing of my father in September of last year. It was at this time I realized I had done nothing to improve my life and was in a dead-end job. My father always wanted us to be happy and be all we could be. (Yes, he was in the Navy). I had been toying with the idea of becoming a Pharmacy Technician for years, but with two kids, it was a little hard to find time for school.
With my dad passing, I became worried about my future, my children’s future, and what would happen to us if something happened to my husband. I decided not to wait any longer. I needed to get my career started not just a job. I did a search for classes taught online and found ed2go through my local university.
I enrolled in the Intro. to Pharmacy Technician course. The class taught me about the job and went over the skills needed to do the job. After I completed the course, I signed up for the advanced training program and am on my way to becoming a Pharmacy Technician.
