Gaye H. Says, “You’re Never Too Old to Learn”
One of our students wanted to share her message of, “you’re never too old to learn!” Gaye shares her educational history and desire for taking online classes with other students who may be fearful of learning a new skill in a non-traditional format:
This past year while most of my friends have or are planning to retire; I am proud to say that “I’m still in school”! I graduated from high school in 1973. I’m currently enrolled in Adult Education Classes, Citizens Academy Classes, as well as ICTC ed2go online classes.
Although my motivation for taking more classes stemmed from an increase in pay for completing 17 educational hours, I have found that it is very beneficial to keep your mind working all the time, as well as gaining a sense of accomplishment for yourself.
While there are other online classes available, the one that I took did not have the quality of teaching that my ed2go classes offered. Although I have completed all of the computer classes that I need to reach my goal, I do plan in the near future to enroll in some of the self-improvement classes or perhaps a photography class. If I could only take exercise classes online!
